SELBE RI Comments
SpaceX has an ambitious strategy and a team that executes agile design-implement-test development cycles at a very impressive rate.
Although not focused on publicly at this time, In-space solar power generation and wireless transfer (laser/microwave) will be of vital importance. Also, such capabilities could provide power on demand anywhere on Earth where needed. Such a capability could also be used to power terrestrial solar power panels on Earth during the night.
Electric air/sea/ground vehicles of a wide variety of size could be operated for indefinite durations and distances being powered by energy beamed to them directly from space similar to what Starlink has done for internet access.
Although not explicitly mentioned by SpaceX, The Boring Company is developing technologies and capabilities essential for both mining and extending life beyond Earth by tunneling on the Moon, asteroids, Mars and the Mars moons. https://www.boringcompany.com/projects
